Your Relationships:

If You Want Your Life To Run Without Upsets
Keep Your Agreements

Upsets can come at you for reasons unrelated to things you did or didn't do. I'm not talking about those. I'm thinking of the frequent upsets generated by your actions, or lack of actions. For example, if you have made an agreement to be at work on time, and you show up late, you will have an upset directly related to your actions.

Some people close to me seem to have an inordinate number of upsets. When I examine them I discover a remarkable number of them would never have happened if agreements had been kept. Part of the secret is to not enter into agreements lightly. Agreeing to something that is very difficult to do is setting yourself up for an upset.

The Chinese have a philosophy stressing harmony. A life with harmony is a lovely thing, and can be achieved if a person keeps their agreements
